What is the BNI Charity Collective?

The BNI Sydney North West & Penrith Charity Collective was founded in March 2022 by a small group of business owners and charities with a shared goal: to support local, grassroots organisations through donations, mentoring, and increased visibility.

In the wake of the COVID pandemic, the need for help in our communities grew significantly. This initiative was created to support the dedicated people on the ground working tirelessly to assist those most in need.

The Charity Collective also serves as a bridge, connecting charities with business owners who have the capacity to help but may not have the means to do so effectively. It creates opportunities for business leaders to engage directly with charities, offering both financial support and expertise, ensuring that those in need receive the help they deserve.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide these organisations with donations, support, visibility, and mentoring to enhance their impact.

Our Vision

Our vision is to unite charities for greater effectiveness, benefiting each organisation and the communities they serve.

Our Goal

We aim to raise $2 million over the next three years to support the local charities within the BNI Charity Collective, ensuring they have the resources to continue helping those in need.

Charity with Strategy

“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” – Winston Churchill

Impact

Since its inception, our members have not only contributed financially but have also given their time, expertise, and resources to help the local charities, that make up the BNI Charity Collective, amplify their impact.

Whether it’s through mentoring, volunteering, or providing essential items, the collective efforts of our BNI community have transformed lives and supported those most in need. Together, we are making a lasting difference in the communities we serve.

A message from the Executive Director

At our core, we are a culture-led organisation, and we take immense pride in championing the causes of those without a voice – the marginalised, the sick, and the disabled. Through this collective effort, we aim to make a tangible difference in the lives of those facing challenges that often go unnoticed.

Our ambitious goal of raising $2 million in three years is a testament to our commitment to creating meaningful change. Thank you for being part of our journey as we strive to uplift and empower those who need it most.

— Rebecca Raad | Executive Director of BNI Sydney North West & Penrith

The Men’s Shed provides a place for men from all walks of life to come together, share a conversation over a cuppa, and engage in meaningful activities.
